SpecificitiesBoitier indexé 69ST, lunette Télélètre, calibre C 861 première série (Mai 1971)

Omega Speedmaster 145.022-69ST “Moon Landing Time” chronograph from 1971, featuring a telemeter bezel and a hand-wound mechanical movement, Omega caliber C-861, with a serial number confirming production in May 1971.
42mm screw-down case in excellent condition, featuring the Speedmaster Seahorse medallion on the caseback. The movement runs at 21,600 vibrations per hour and has a distinct copper-tone finish. This 18-jewel chronograph, based on the Lemania 1873, features a flat hairspring and cam-switching mechanism. The movement is protected by an anti-magnetic cover. The Lemania 1873 is known for its exceptional reliability and its ability to withstand extreme temperatures. It is also recognized for enduring prolonged exposure to varied acceleration and repeated shocks. This legendary robustness has made it the base movement of choice for many prestigious brands, such as Universal Genève with its caliber 84, Heuer, Eberhard & Co., and Breitling — particularly for its Navitimer with conventional display. Furthermore, the Breitling caliber 12 that powers the Navitimer Cosmonaute with 24-hour display is based on the Lemania 1877 — technically identical to the 1873 but with the hour hand rotation speed halved.
As for this Speedmaster’s dial details, it features the "moonwatch" design with two dots beneath the 12 o’clock hour marker. The “S” in Speedmaster is the elongated style, and “T Swiss Made T” appears below the minute track. Three subdials — for hours, minutes, and continuous seconds — are laid out with perfect legibility. The chronograph function features a small running seconds hand and "Stop & Go" operation. The central chronograph seconds hand is a flat style, and timekeeping is done with tritium-coated B5 hands for hours and minutes. The fixed tachymeter bezel, marked counterclockwise from 60 to 500, frames a domed Plexiglas crystal.
Omega collector’s watch in stainless steel, water-resistant to 5 ATM. Given its production date, this model is becoming increasingly rare and is expected to reach the value of the famous caliber 321 Speedmasters. Its exceptional condition further increases its appeal to collectors. The Speedmaster chronograph is a versatile timepiece — from aviation to motorsports — and its vintage chic look has earned it frequent screen appearances in many successful films.
