The purchase invoice gives rise to a thirty-six months guarantee on the functioning of our vintage collection watches. This guarantee which runs from the transfer of ownership is exercised only in our shop, mostra-store (Mostra SAS) will in no case pay an external invoice.
Warranty conditions
The guarantee of products following a sale applies with regard to appropriate storage by the user and normal use of a vintage collector's watch. This use must correspond to the characteristics and limitations of the watch concerned, and as such fulfill the transport and packaging conditions suitable for the travel of products deemed to be "very fragile".
The warranty for modern or vintage second-hand and collectible watches sold by Mostra applies not only to the functioning but also applies to the authenticity of the Watch. By referring to the precise description of the watches offered on our website www.mostra-store.com, you can select the watch of your choice and, if you wish, request the expertise and knowledge of our experts, available to you either by email , by telephone or possibly by videoconference.
MOSTRA WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
The MOSTRA commercial warranty does not cover damage, deterioration or malfunctions resulting in particular from:
- an accident, fall, impact or any other external damage;
- improper handling or use that does not comply with the normal intended use of the watch;
- lack of care, insufficient maintenance or negligence liable to have damaged the watch;
- immersion in or contact with liquid where the watch is not guaranteed to be water-resistant;
- use of the watch in the shower, bath, sauna, steam room or, more generally, exposure to hot water, steam or significant temperature variations, including where the watch is stated to be water-resistant. Heat and temperature variations may affect the water-resistance seals and increase the risk of water or moisture ingress. The use of soaps, shampoos or cosmetic products may also contribute to their deterioration;
- exposure to extreme temperatures, gases, chemicals, strong magnetic fields or conditions incompatible with the normal use of a watch, particularly in the case of an antique or vintage watch;
- water or moisture ingress resulting in particular from a crown, pusher or screw-down case back being incorrectly closed on a water-resistant watch;
- any servicing, opening, repair or modification carried out by a third party without MOSTRA’s prior approval.
Normal wear and tear is also excluded from the commercial warranty, as is wear or deterioration affecting the following components: battery, strap or bracelet, clasp, case, crown, pushers, crystal and other external components of the watch.
The water resistance of an antique or vintage watch cannot be assumed unless expressly stated on the invoice or certificate provided at the time of sale. Even where a watch is stated to be water-resistant, this does not cover its use in the shower, bath, sauna or steam room.
These exclusions apply exclusively to the commercial warranty offered by MOSTRA and are without prejudice to any applicable statutory warranties.
In certain cases, and on request, Mostra-Store can guarantee certain models of vintage watches over a longer period than the product guarantee following a sale. In this case, this exceptional guarantee must appear on the purchase invoice of the product and be considered as an extension of guarantee applying only to the duration of the guarantee following a sale.
