Omega Speedmaster NASA Apollo 15 40th Anniversary chronograph, full set limited edition of 1,971 pieces, complete with its box and accessories. This mechanical watch features a black Professional Moonwatch dial with three subdials in the colors of the American flag, and a caseback engraved with the lunar rover and exclusive mission markings. The dial is particularly well executed, with a colored minute track encircled by a tachymeter scale on the bezel.

Apollo 15 was a successful mission — a twelve-day endeavor that became the longest of the Apollo program. Comprising astronauts Alfred M. Worden (who remained in the Apollo capsule in lunar orbit), James B. Irwin, and David R. Scott (the mission commander), the latter two landed near Mount Hadley in the Apennine mountains. They completed three moonwalks and drove the lunar “Jeep” for a total of 28 km on the Moon — an unprecedented achievement demonstrating mankind’s ability to explore other planetary surfaces. These real-scale tests still serve today to prepare future exploration of Mars.

This collector's piece features a 42 mm stainless steel case with a screwed and engraved caseback and is water-resistant to 5 ATM. The hand-wound movement is the Omega 1861 Rhodium Caliber, type B5. The Luminova Moonwatch dial, type C6, has a black base highlighted with blue, red, and white — the same colors used in the official NASA Apollo 15 mission patch. The central flat seconds hand and the baton-style hour and minute hands are C3 Luminova-enhanced. The fixed tachymeter bezel, type B5, surrounds the Plexiglas crystal. The three subdials (hours, minutes, seconds) are arranged for optimal readability and are colored red, white, and blue.
