SpecificitiesMarquages militaires au dos du boitier
Military watch CWC from the Royal Army, dated 1998 (NATO code 6645), issued from the 1990s to the early 2000s. This watch equipped British troops deployed in all major operational theaters during that period, including FORPRONU under the United Nations banner. It is also one of the last military watches to be officially issued and used in real wartime conditions.
As a fun fact, the designation "W-10" comes from the form number that British military personnel had to fill out in order to receive their watch from the Royal Air Force PX stores. The watch comes with its original issue grey-green NATO strap (code 6645), which also complies with NATO Mil. Specs.
This CWC watch is powered by a quartz movement with 7 jewels, ETA caliber 955.102. It features a hacking function and end-of-life battery indicator, with analog display for hours, minutes, and central seconds. The battery (55 mAh) provides a life span of around 108 months. It’s a movement bearing the "Swiss Made" label. The dial of this collectible watch is black with a 12-hour railroad track, indicating minutes or seconds, with Arabic numerals aligned with tritium-lumed markers, in line with British Ministry of Defence specifications and NATO military watch standards.
This collectible timepiece, manufactured by Cabot Watch Company in 1998, offers resistance to dust and water splashes. Its case is anti-magnetic, with a titanium-like finish and a 38 mm diameter. The CWC-G10 is fitted with fixed spring bars to prevent accidental loss during operations. Compact in size, this model was used across the Royal Army, Royal Navy, and Royal Air Force, making it an excellent entry point into vintage military watch collecting. It’s also a solid choice for outdoor activities or travel thanks to its durability, discretion, and comfort. With 5 ATM water resistance, its compact size fits wrists of all sizes.
