Vintage Omega Speedmaster Scuderia F1 Racing yellow leather chronograph, Michael Schumacher yellow version (the official Scuderia Ferrari color), circa 1996. This 47-jewel chronograph houses an automatic movement, calibre 1143, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour. Red dial with a white racing-style minute track. Three sub-dials: 60-minute counter on the right, 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock, and 30-minute counter on the left.

The Speedmaster chronograph is a versatile timepiece—aviation, motorsport—its functionality and vintage-chic design have also led it to Hollywood, with frequent appearances in hit TV shows.
This collector’s watch was released at a pivotal moment in the driver's career. In 1997, the Ferrari vs. Williams Renault rivalry peaked. On the Jerez circuit in Spain, Michael, closely trailed by Jacques Villeneuve, attempted to block the Williams-Renault from overtaking. The maneuver ended in a dramatic crash with 22 laps to go. Despite the controversy, Scuderia Ferrari renewed their trust in him, allowing him to continue his legendary Formula 1 career, dominating the sport until 2004.

This vintage Speedmaster Reduced watch measures 39 mm and is listed by Omega under reference 3810.12.40. Produced between 1996 and 2000, the movement is based on an ETA 2892 ébauche with a chronograph module developed by Dubois-Depraz, a specialist in the field. With its distinctive appearance and bright colors, this collector's watch is perfect for both casual and sporty use. Developed in collaboration with the iconic Ferrari F1 driver, Omega pays tribute to its roots by reminding us that the Speedmaster, though famous for its space legacy, was originally created for racing and speed.

Equipped with the Omega calibre 1143 movement, this watch offers a 42-hour power reserve when fully wound. While it is water-resistant to 10 ATM, the original yellow leather strap may not withstand prolonged exposure to water. We recommend storing the original strap and replacing it with a NATO, rubber, or steel strap. The original buckle is easily detachable and can be mounted on any strap of the same width.
The central seconds hand is yellow with a triangular tip. The hour and minute hands feature the same yellow base as the dial, with luminescent inserts framed in white. The Hesalite (Plexiglas) crystal is surrounded by a tachymeter bezel calibrated from 500 to 60 km/h.
