omega speedmaster moonwatch professional from moon to mars full set— 2004 -MS0519069

Omega Speedmaster Professional limited edition From Moon to Mars Full Set. Limited series vintage 2004, one of 2000 pieces, with original box and papers. Screw-down caseback, 42 mm, in excellent condition, engraved “From Moon to Mars” with a serial number under 2000. Manual-winding mechanical movement, small seconds chronograph with Stop and Go function. Central second hand, fixed tachymeter bezel surrounding Hesalite glass.

This Speedmaster chronograph reflects Omega's ambition to accompany astronauts on the future crewed mission to Mars. The idea was born from an interview with Jean-Claude Biver and two passionate journalists: in 1996, Jean-Claude Biver was head of Omega and met with Stefan Ciejka and Thierry Serna to discuss the new direction he intended to give the brand. Biver had just sold Blancpain to Nicolas Hayek and joined him to develop Omega, then the sleeping beauty of the group. Several limited editions were born from that conversation: the Seamaster James Bond, the NASA Mercury, Gemini and Apollo limited editions. (You’ll find more details by following this link)

This limited-edition watch follows the tradition of Moonwatch Special Editions for NASA created by Omega to celebrate space exploration. Given the low production number, its story, and its excellent condition, this piece holds exceptional collectible value.

A collector’s steel watch with a 42 mm screw-down caseback, water-resistant to 5 ATM, and engraved with exclusive markings for this edition. Manual-winding mechanical movement calibre Omega 1861 Rhodium type B5, small seconds chronograph with Stop and Go function. Black Luminova dial type C6, large central seconds hand (Flat second), and C3 Baton Luminova hour and minute hands. Fixed tachymeter bezel type B5-dot Beneath 70-Style 1 surrounding the Plexiglas. The three sub-dials for hours, minutes, and seconds represent Earth, the Moon, and the planet Mars.
