SpecificitiesMontre serie limitée vendue uniquement aux militaires brevetés pour les 80 ans de l'airborne force.

CWC W-10 British Airborne Pegasus Unit military watch — a collector’s timepiece sold exclusively to military personnel holding the British Crown Parachute Qualification. This commemorative edition was released in a very limited series of just 50 pieces by Cabot Watch Company and is crafted in the spirit of British-issued military W-10 watches. A distinctive feature of this edition is the Pegasus Unit emblem — the mythical white winged horse ridden by Perseus — placed at 9 o’clock on the dial, along with the official insignia of Her Majesty’s Airborne Forces at 6 o’clock.
Both emblems are also engraved on the caseback (Pegasus logo and “Airborne” inscription), alongside the familiar markings known to paratroopers: “Red On – Green On” — the same luminous indicators found above airplane doors signaling the moment to jump. In 1940, British paratrooper units were first issued Hamilton watches with calibre 987, followed later by the Hamilton W-10. After the creation of Cabot Watch & Clock, the CWC W-10 became standard in the 1980s. (See the full article on the W-10 in the Mostra Mag here)
The watch features a 38 mm stainless steel case with welded spring bars for secure strap attachment. The 18 mm lug width is designed to fit the included crimson NATO strap, evoking the red light inside the aircraft during night jumps. The dial is matte black with white railway track and Super-LumiNova hour markers. Metal hands are also filled with Super-LumiNova, and the central seconds hand is painted white. It runs on a Swiss-made ETA 955.102 quartz movement (noted "Swiss Made" at the bottom of the dial), which features an end-of-life indicator by jumping the central seconds hand every five seconds. The watch is fitted with a plexiglass crystal and offers water resistance up to 5 ATM.
From a collector’s perspective, this rare timepiece belongs among limited-edition watches made for members of prestigious military or police units. Always in high demand, they often become the centerpiece of any themed collection.
