Zenith Chronomaster El Primero titanium black chronograph, full set, limited edition of 1,000 pieces. Skeleton dial and transparent caseback, 1969 “Tribute to the Rolling Stones” edition. A modern collector’s piece from 2016 powered by the legendary Zenith caliber 4061 El Primero — an automatic chronograph movement officially certified by the Geneva Observatory (COSC). This exceptional timepiece marks the 40th anniversary of the famous movement (which was used in Rolex Daytona models at the time) and the 3-year partnership between Zenith and the Rolling Stones.
Matte black dial featuring an aperture in the upper left revealing the regular beat of the movement, reminiscent of a tourbillon window. The hour markers are luminescent bars with a dark appearance in daylight. The sapphire crystal is specially treated to reduce reflections, enhancing the skeletonized area without compromising the readability of the chronograph functions. The watch includes two rectangular pushers that flank the crown, creating an elegant shoulder design. Functions include small seconds, stop-seconds, and stop & run chronograph, with 30-minute and 12-hour subdials. The central chronograph hand reads against a detailed 1/10th second railroad-style track.
The 45 mm case is crafted in titanium with a scratch-resistant matte DLC coating. This stunning timepiece, with its bold and contemporary look, is just as comfortable in a black-tie setting as it is in a casual & rock environment — just like the band it pays tribute to. Water-resistant to 100 m, with a 50-hour power reserve, its movement beats at a lightning-fast 36,000 vibrations per hour. The transparent caseback reveals a bi-directional rotor decorated with the iconic Rolling Stones logo, offering a glimpse into the complexity of the movement. Notably, the escape wheel and lever are made of silicon — a material harder than steel and much lighter. This reduces friction and wear, improving energy efficiency. The case is also amagnetic, enhancing durability and ease of maintenance. This complete collector’s piece comes with its box, original certificates, and documentation. It also draws inspiration from Zenith’s iconic “Lightweight” model in both shape and design.
