Tudor vintage Chronotime 79260P Oyster Date chronograph from 1997, the famous Tudor big-block in its rare version for the tiger wood golfer, a 40 mm men's and women's watch with screwed pushers that evokes the Rolex big red Daytona Cosmograph model of which it all sports attributes and visual codes. A contemporary model of the Tudor 7000 Homeplate or Tudor 7100 Montecarlo series, this watch whose owner changed the bracelet to a Tudor Oyster bracelet to reinforce the resemblance to the vintage Rolex Cosmograph chronograph from the seventies.

The movement of the Tudor oyster date Chronotime 79260P is a self-winding Valjoux calibre for Tudor 7750 with twenty-five jewels. Steel case 40 mm in diameter, with a width of 20 mm between the lugs, crown, pushers and back screwed down to ensure the watch is water resistant to 10 ATM. This movement works at a speed of twenty-eight thousand eight hundred vibrations per minute and has a power reserve after complete winding of forty-eight hours.

The dial of the Tudor 79260P is silver in colour with white totalizer counters. The layout is geared towards motorsports: a thirty-minute counter at noon, over twelve hours at the bottom of the dial, and the small seconds counter on the left side. The hour markers are surmounted by a luminescent dot punctuating the circular hour rail every five minutes. The day date aperture at three o'clock is magnified by a cyclops magnifying glass (on the sapphire glass).

Different mentions are arranged on the dial: under the top thirty-minute totalizer is the word tiger in red, to its lower right, the Tudor logo and the full-letter brand above the prince date mentioned in black, the twelve-hour totalizer is in its upper part surrounded by the mentions automatic Chrono time and below the mention swiss time which indicates that the dial is enriched with Superluminova. 

The hands of the hour sphere are in steel enhanced with Superluminova, the central second-hand ends with an arrowhead and is red, and the hands of the sub-counters are black and needle-shaped. The bezel surrounding the dial is tachymeter type, black with white numerals calibrated from sixty to five-hundred units per hour.

The Tudor logo's screw-down crown is protected by a shoulder surrounded by two screw-down pushers. The Oyster-type bracelet is attached to the case by pumps housed in the holes in the lugs to facilitate disassembly. The bracelet is fitted with a folding clasp with the Tudor logo and is twenty millimetres wide. The watch in perfect condition is guaranteed for two years.

From the point of view of use, this superb chronograph will delight fans of Daytona-type chronographs, given its resemblance to the Rolex big red models of the seventies. Modern in design, it will be much better able to withstand daily use, see turbulent, and its waterproofness will also allow it to withstand nautical and outdoor activities.
