Diving watch Vintage Rolex Submariner 16610 Full Set, black dial, automatic self-winding movement, chronometer-certified.

This is a Mark II dial variant produced only between 1998 and 1999. During this period, characterized by serial numbers starting with "U", the dial began featuring the mention “SWISS” at 6 o'clock — a marking also retained for the following "A" series. This beautiful timepiece proudly emphasizes its Swiss origin, a mark of high quality that Rolex highlighted in the late 1990s to assert its ambitions for global expansion — particularly in Asia. At the time, the four Asian Tigers (South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan) were emerging as a luxury watch market Eldorado.

On the inside caseback, it is worth noting that in 1998, Rolex removed the model reference number (16610). This product code was replaced with 2160, a designation shared with models like the Submariner 14060, 14060M, and 16613. From the second half of 1999, in the "A" series, a Rolex crown was engraved at 6 o'clock on the crystal.
