Double Red Ovetonne Datejust - The Last Bubble-back

The legendary Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust from 1953—the Double Red Ovettone 6305—is a true collector’s model, also known as "the last Bubble-Back." It is considered the most refined and final evolution of the iconic series that shaped Rolex’s history in the second half of the twentieth century. This model features the Jubilee bracelet, borrowed from the innovative Rolex Datejust 1601 Prima from the early 1960s, and represents another milestone in the world of luxury watches.

Its white dial with black and red inscriptions is perfectly echoed by the alternating red and black date numerals on the date disc, which is where the nickname “Rolex Datejust 6305-2 Double Red” comes from.

This model, known as the final iteration of the famous Rolex Bubble-Back watches, is powered by the self-winding Rolex caliber A-296 with 18 jewels. It features six adjustment positions and a clever shock-absorbing system that protects the movement's precision. Highly sought after by vintage Rolex collectors, its generous case diameter allows it to be worn comfortably on all wrist types. This Rolex Datejust Ovettone comes with a two-year warranty and is in perfect mechanical condition, with all original parts. It is sold with a warranty certificate and a Mostra leather travel case. From a collector’s perspective, this watch was famously worn by Roy Thinnes, the star of the classic series *The Invaders*.
