The vintage Rolex Submariner ref. 5513 from 1973 is a collectible diving watch identical to the one worn by Roger Moore in the James Bond film “Live and Let Die.” It features a Rolex caliber 1520 movement and comes with its original case and bracelet, including all links. This iconic diving watch, water-resistant to 660 ft (200 m), was produced by Rolex between 1960 and 1989 and remains one of the brand’s best-selling models.
Powered by the Rolex caliber 1520 with 17 jewels and operating at 19,800 vibrations per hour, this vintage collector’s watch offers a power reserve of 42 hours after full winding. The black dial with white markers and inscriptions includes the “Swiss-T<25” marking at the bottom, indicating a low level of tritium used for luminescent elements. The 40 mm stainless steel case features pierced lugs to facilitate bracelet changes or cleaning operations.
The bracelet is equipped with a deployant clasp and extension system, allowing it to be comfortably worn over a diving suit and then adjusted back for wrist wear. The clasp also includes a Triplock system that prevents accidental opening during use.
This watch has been professionally restored to preserve its waterproof capabilities. It is fitted with a service bezel insert and a genuine replacement Plexiglas crystal. In excellent condition, this timepiece remains elegant and wearable thanks to its compact size and discreet thickness, making it suitable even for smaller wrists. A collector’s favorite, this model is also a strong investment with a steadily increasing value over the years. The watch is sold with its original Rolex box and outer box.
