Speedmaster RAID Police Nationale - Edition Limitee Exclusive

The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Chronograph 2018 special edition for RAID, limited to just 250 pieces. A manual-winding mechanical movement housed in a 42mm steel case with screw-down caseback, specially engraved with the RAID motto encircling its logo. This exclusive series was released with a customized box set including several unique accessories, and offers water resistance up to 5 bar (50 meters). The black dial, protected by a plexiglass crystal, features white inscriptions and specially colored hands in blue, white, and red — the colors of the French flag.

This steel collector's watch is powered by a manual-winding Omega 1861 movement with rhodium finish. Designed to withstand shock and multidirectional movement, it includes a “Delrin” brake to protect it from magnetic interference, moisture, corrosion from solvents and chemicals. This material provides rigidity, endurance, and resistance to melting or deformation under extreme heat. To improve reliability, the chronograph wheel features 18 rubies, allowing for continuous chronograph use without wearing down or damaging the movement.

The movement beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour, powered by a flat Glucydur hairspring, which drives the central seconds hand at 6 ticks per second. This is a proven in-house movement developed by Omega based on the Lemania 1873. One of its key features is the “hacking seconds” function, which allows precise time-setting by turning the hands counterclockwise — stopping the movement for perfect synchronization. This function is especially valuable for team operations in the field and critical synchronized interventions, allowing the watch to be set to the exact tenth of a second against a reference time or among team members.

The cam-operated chronograph mechanism with three totalizers operates in “Stop & Go” mode: start the timing with the pusher at 2 o’clock, stop it with the lower pusher, resume with the top one, and reset with the bottom. The tri-compax layout allows a total count up to 12 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds — with a small running seconds subdial on the left, a 30-minute counter on the right, and a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock — all displayed on a black dial. Notably, the winding mechanism is functional from the first turn of the crown and, after approximately 20 full rotations, provides a power reserve of 42 hours.

The RAID is a special unit of the French National Police. This chronograph was designed exclusively for RAID members. Each Full Set includes a presentation box containing a RAID-branded case with all documents and guarantees, two NATO straps — one in RAID-specific blue with white and red stripes, the other in black — as well as tools to change the straps. The limited edition chronograph comes wrapped in its original factory-sealed plastic packaging.
