Specificities

Omega Speedmaster Luminova chronograph 3570.50.00 with its luxury box, 2004 version, and Omega service warranty card. This timepiece features an Omega leather strap, C6 black dial with Luminova indexes and white inscriptions, fixed tachymeter bezel with B5 insert, Dot Beneath 70 Style 2, C3 baton-style hands with a flat second central hand. The screw-down caseback (42 mm) is of C4 “oblique tail” type and features the engravings: “Flight Qualified by NASA for All Manned Space Missions,” and under the unicorn central medallion: “The First Watch Worn on the Moon.”
The wide & tall pushers are listed as Type 2 in the Omega nomenclature. The crystal is plexiglass (Hesalite), and the movement powering this Speedmaster is the Omega calibre C 1861 with 18 jewels — the fifth in the lineage of movements used in the Speedmaster chronograph since its inception in 1957. This finely crafted, rhodium-plated movement is considered the benchmark of modern chronograph calibres.
The watch is delivered with its luxury box, outer box, user manual, and Omega service warranty card from 2022. A certificate of authenticity is included, and the watch comes with a two-year warranty. In terms of functionality, this watch is water-resistant up to 3 ATM, but diving use is not recommended. From a collector’s perspective, this model is the modern icon of space watches, and with its leather strap, it takes on a more classic and luxurious appearance. This emblematic watch from the 2000s is also frequently seen on screen and on television — beyond its appearances on astronauts and NASA scientists in film, it is also famously worn by NYPD detective Kate Beckett (played by Stana Katic) in the TV series *Castle*. It fits perfectly into a “cinematic classics” watch collection theme.
