Specificities

1993 Breitling Navitimer Patrouille de France watch, sold with its original box and papers. This is an exceptional timepiece that was originally reserved for pilot number 7 of the Patrouille de France. The number seven pilot flies the Alfa Jet n°7 and holds a very special role in the formation: flying behind and beneath the rest of the team in the so-called “charognard” position, a highly demanding and technical placement that requires extreme precision and flying discipline. By tradition, this position is held by the future leader (number one) of the Patrouille de France. The Patrouille de France is composed of elite pilots from the French Air Force—men and women specially trained in aerobatics. Since February 1964, their home base has been in Salon-de-Provence.
This rare collector’s watch stands out for multiple reasons: number 7, like the first seven pieces, was reserved exclusively for active-duty pilots of the Patrouille de France. It is also rare because the Navitimer A1121 model is fitted with a transparent caseback, allowing a view of the mechanical movement—a calibre produced for Breitling by Lemania: the LWC 1874 movement with 18 jewels. This finely finished, manufacture-grade movement is visible through the sapphire sandwich crystal caseback. Around the window, the watch is engraved with its serial number “007” and the note that it is part of a limited edition of 1000 pieces.
The watch features its original three-link steel bracelet, paired with a signed folding clasp with secure locking. It is offered with its original box, papers, and Breitling-signed limited edition certificate.
