In Paris, when the alert drops, the BRI-PP deploys its columns with that blend of cool listening and patient experience that makes the difference on a narrow landing or in a room drowned in noise. Recent years have cemented its role at the heart of crises: the Bataclan assault in November 2015—conducted by the BRI-PP under its chief—remains one of the most intense moments in the unit’s recent history, three minutes of decisive action to free the last hostages.¹ ² A few days later, during the manhunt for the organizers, it would support RAID in Saint-Denis in an operation of unprecedented scope.³ Beyond terrorism, the BRI remains the judicial police intervention force: long surveillances, high-level arrests, hostage releases, with activity remaining sustained year after year.⁴ In 2024, the unit also held a key place in the Olympic security arrangement alongside RAID and GIGN, illustrating that culture of cooperation that characterizes major contemporary crises. Wearing this BR 03 “BRI Paris” means bringing to the wrist a share of that memory: a working watch designed for legibility and reliability, an instrument assigned to serve before being collected.

Since the mid-2000s, the BR 03 has embodied the Bell & Ross language: a cockpit instrument transposed to the wrist, square, four screws, a dial with strong contrasts. The maison has regularly supported elite units with allocation series (GIGN, RAID, PAF, Patrouille de France, etc.), rarely distributed beyond the services concerned. The BR 03 “BRI Paris” belongs to this tradition: an internal 2017 edition, 50 numbered pieces reserved for Brigade personnel, absent from the public catalogue and rarely seen on the secondary market.

The 42 mm case with matte black finish kills reflections and underscores function; ergonomics remain contained, with straight case sides that sit naturally and a screw-down back engraved “Aviation Type.” The black dial prioritizes instant reading: large markers, white hands with luminescent treatment, a discreet date window at 4:30, and the “BRI” mention at six o’clock that signs the edition. The knurled crown gives a secure grip, the sapphire crystal protects the scene. Inside, the BR-CAL.302 (based on Sellita SW300-1/ETA 2892 depending on series) offers robust accuracy, automatic winding, central seconds, and about 38–42 h of reserve. The 100 m water-resistant construction suits daily use and demanding environments (rain, splashes, short immersions), in the spirit of a field tool. The black rubber strap—easy to rinse and to wear under gloves—can be alternated with a textile strap supplied on certain allocations, to restore operational handling.
