ZRC, short for Zuccolo Rochet & Cie, is a Swiss watchmaking brand founded in 1904 in Geneva by Edmond Zuccolo and Joseph Rochet. Initially specializing in the production of pocket watch chains and metal expandable bracelets, the brand distinguished itself early on with its innovative spirit, notably by winning the Grand Prix of Geneva in 1917. However, it was in the world of professional diving watches that ZRC would make its lasting mark on horology.

In the 1950s, ZRC made a strategic shift towards designing waterproof cases. Following a collaboration with the French Navy, the brand developed the legendary Grands Fonds 300 in 1960. Featuring a crown positioned at 6 o'clock for better protection and a safety system preventing immersion if the crown is not properly screwed in, this innovative model was adopted by the French Navy from 1964 to 1982 and certified by NATO, cementing ZRC's reputation as a specialist in technical and reliable diving watches.

True to its DNA, the brand continued its technical research in the following decades while remaining relatively discreet. It wasn't until the early 2000s that ZRC made a notable return, led by Georges Brunet, a descendant of the co-founder. In 2015, the relaunch of the brand with models inspired by its military heritage—such as the Grands Fonds 3000 Titanium, Grands Fonds Heritage, and the North Adventure editions—reaffirmed its high-end positioning in the tool-watch segment.

Today, ZRC watches are admired for their strong identity, unique aesthetic, and designs built for action: unidirectional bezel, robust materials, optimal legibility, and exclusive innovations. Although the brand continues to produce in a controlled and selective manner, it has gained increasing recognition, particularly among diving watch enthusiasts and collectors seeking originality and performance.
