“Some watches carry the colours of a uniform. Others preserve something deeper: memory, transmission and that distinctly French ability to unite elegance and function without ever needing to raise their voice.”
RALF TECH Académie Automatic Bronze Royale reference ACY-1302, 2025 example, limited edition of 100 pieces, 41 mm satin-finished CuAl8 bronze case, no-date lacquered royal-blue dial with vintage beige fleur-de-lys, bronze hands and Old Radium Super-LumiNova hour markers, 2.5 mm domed anti-reflective Glassbox sapphire crystal, screw-down crown, numbered screw-down caseback, 22 mm lug width, 200-metre water resistance, RALF TECH calibre RTA003 self-winding mechanical movement developed from a Seiko NH35/NH36 architecture, operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour, approximately 40-hour power reserve after full winding, 24 jewels, hand-stitched vintage-gold calfskin strap with bronze pin buckle, second black silicone Tropic strap, original travel pouch and documents, 2025 Full Set watch, inspected, authenticated and covered by Mostra’s 3-year warranty. Official specifications confirm the 41 mm CuAl8 bronze case, blue dial, RTA003 calibre, 200-metre rating, Glassbox crystal, two straps and production limited to 100 examples.
The RALF TECH Académie Automatic Bronze Royale ACY-1302 belongs to that second family. It neither attempts to reproduce an old military watch nor constructs an artificial story from a handful of historical symbols. Instead, it brings together several legacies deeply connected with French identity: the blue of French naval aviation, the bronze of early maritime equipment, the fleur-de-lys associated with royal history and the restraint of a three-hand watch whose classical appearance conceals the resistance of a genuine instrument. RALF TECH officially describes the Royale as an Académie inspired by French naval aviation, the French Navy and the heritage of the former French kingdom.
The royal-blue dial immediately defines the watch. Its colour has a depth very different from that of an ordinary sports dial. It appears almost marine in soft light, then becomes brighter and more ceremonial as the surface catches stronger illumination. The vintage beige fleur-de-lys introduces an unmistakable detail without turning the watch into a commemorative object. Together with the warm Old Radium luminous material, it creates a visual link between the blue dial, the bronze case and the history evoked by the model.
The 41 mm satin-finished CuAl8 bronze case gives every example a personal evolution. Bronze reacts to air, humidity, skin and use. Its surface gradually loses the uniform brilliance of the first day and develops a warmer, darker or more muted patina according to the habits of its owner. RALF TECH selected CuAl8, a copper-aluminium alloy used in maritime engineering for its strength and resistance to corrosion and wear. The Maison explains that it develops a subtle patina without the undesirable verdigris effects associated with some traditional bronzes.
The smooth bezel, elongated lugs and domed Glassbox sapphire crystal recall elegant watches of the 1950s and 1960s. Yet beneath this classical appearance remains a genuine RALF TECH construction: screw-down crown, closed caseback, thick sapphire and 200-metre water resistance. The Bronze Royale can therefore accompany travel, rain, nautical activity and an active daily life with a freedom rarely associated with such an elegant watch.
Its hand-stitched vintage-gold calfskin strap reveals the most classical side of the model. The warm leather naturally complements the bronze and gives the watch an easy place beside a shirt, jacket or coat. The second black Tropic strap changes its personality within minutes, making it better suited to water, heat, travel and outdoor use. The two original straps therefore provide two genuinely different interpretations of the same watch rather than a simple spare accessory.Inside is the RALF TECH RTA003 automatic calibre, developed from the proven Seiko NH35/NH36 architecture. It operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour, contains 24 jewels and provides an approximately 40-hour power reserve after full winding. It offers automatic winding, manual winding and hacking seconds for precise setting. The movement favours robustness, clear servicing and sustainable long-term use rather than unnecessary complexity.
The Académie collection itself was created around the ideas of memory, transmission and improvement associated with military and police academies. RALF TECH evokes the cadets who receive the experience of their elders before passing it on in turn. This gives the Bronze Royale a meaning extending beyond its fleur-de-lys. It can become a watch marking a promotion, a commitment, a professional achievement or an important moment of family transmission.
From a collector’s perspective, the limited edition of 100 pieces gives the model genuine relevance. Its interest is not based solely on an engraved number, but on an immediately recognisable combination of CuAl8 bronze, royal-blue dial, vintage fleur-de-lys, two original straps and genuine 200-metre resistance. It represents the more classical side of RALF TECH without abandoning the professional culture behind the Maison.
This example is offered as a 2025 RALF TECH Académie Automatic Bronze Royale ACY-1302 Full Set, accompanied by its vintage-gold calfskin strap, second black Tropic strap, original pouch and documents. It is sold pre-owned by Mostra following careful inspection of its authenticity, movement, individual serial number, crown, crystal, bronze case and complete original presentation.
Choosing this RALF TECH Académie Bronze Royale from Mostra provides a particularly important advantage with a watch whose bronze case, movement and water resistance require informed inspection. Since 2025, the Mostra workshop in Aix-en-Provence has been officially recognised as a Certified RALF TECH Technical Centre for pre-owned watches, with procedures covering diagnosis, genuine components, water-resistance testing and final control.
Mostra also brings together more than forty years of watchmaking experience, a highly regarded in-house workshop and one of the largest selections of pre-owned watches in the South of France, assembled with particular strength in modern, vintage, military and diving watches. Verified customer reviews carry a 5-star rating, reflecting an approach built around transparency, advice and long-term support. This Académie Bronze Royale comes with a Mostra Certificate of Authenticity, personalised guidance and the Mostra 3-year warranty. That warranty is supported by a workshop familiar with the technical characteristics of RALF TECH and capable of following the watch over time. A piece such as the ACY-1302 is chosen for the depth of its blue dial, the evolving warmth of bronze, the restraint of its fleur-de-lys and the freedom offered by two straps. Above all, it is chosen because it brings together French elegance, maritime heritage and the resistance of an instrument made to live beyond the display case.
