The year 2012 places this example at the heart of the first major period of the white J12, almost a decade after its 2003 introduction. By then, the model had already established itself as a Chanel signature: it was no longer simply the spectacular new white ceramic watch of the early 2000s but a design that had proved it could outlive the fashion of which it had itself become a symbol. This is precisely what makes this generation so interesting today.
