Auricoste Spirotechnique 300 diver's watch, a French combat swimmer's military watch from 1982 and used in the combat swimmer and clearance diver units of the French Navy. This scarce watch has a case of 41, 5 mm with an atypical layout of the winding crown at five o'clock (a position designed to protect it from shocks during underwater missions). This unprecedented position also prevents the diver from winding the watch on his wrist (weakening the crown and its seal).

The robust movement of this watch is the famous second-generation ETA 2428 calibre with 25 jewels. This movement is the most used in the family of military diving watches (CWC and Bianchi B-300 are also equipped with it). It is driven by a speed of 28,800 vibrations per hour (i.e. 4 Hz). Novodiac Incabloc shock resistance device also has an Etachron regulator and a Glucydur balance wheel with non-magnetic properties. Selected for its performance in terms of reliability and ease of maintenance, the ETA 2428-2 movement has a power reserve of 38 hours.

The military diver's watch presented here bears markings on the case back. This watch has replaced the legendary Tudor Submariner Snowflake Marine Nationale watches in the equipment provided. This Auricoste Spirotechnique model was used by the combat swimmers of the CINC of Aspretto. (the famous base-combat swimmers' school located in Corsica near Ajaccio, which was in 1993, after the Rainbow Warrior affair (Greenpeace boat) in 1985, dismantled and transferred to Kellern in Brittany, a place which became the new training centre for combat swimmers, support of the DGSE and specialized in undercover operations (together with the 13th RDP).
